I'm Gregor Zehetner. I've spent the last two decades building and advising companies — as a co-founder of a venture I eventually helped exit, and since then as an advisor and mentor to founders and operators through GZE Advisory.
I built Fractionista because I kept seeing the same thing from both sides. Founders who needed senior judgment at critical moments and couldn't find the right person — or hired full-time and lost a year. And experienced leaders around me, people I deeply respect, quietly asking the same question: what's the next chapter, if it's not another single job?

A consultant delivers recommendations. An advisor gives you outside perspective on a regular cadence. A fractional CxO actually runs a function inside your company — they own decisions, they're part of your leadership meetings, and they're accountable for outcomes — just not for forty hours a week.
It depends entirely on your phase. Some engagements are one day a week over six months. Others are three or four days a week during a critical quarter. Fractional is about the arrangement, not the hours — no permanent employment, no exclusivity, flexible scope.
Fractionista is a curated marketplace, not an intermediary. We connect companies with senior leaders, make warm introductions, and help both sides find the right match. Everything else — contract, scope, rate, NDA, billing — is negotiated and handled directly between you and the other party. You keep full control of your engagements, and we stay out of the way once the match is made.
Scope, time commitment, and compensation vary widely — from one day a week over several months to focused project engagements of a few weeks. That's the point of fractional: the arrangement adapts to the situation. Rates are agreed directly between the leader and the company, based on seniority, scope, and time commitment. We're happy to share benchmarks during the first conversation.
Because curation is the product. The value of the network depends entirely on the quality of the people in it. We'd rather have fifty leaders we personally trust than five hundred we don't know.
Primary focus is Europe — DACH, Benelux, Nordics, UK, and Southern Europe. Industry-wise, we're sector-agnostic in principle but strongest in SaaS, FinTech, HealthTech, and deep-tech areas where senior operator experience is in especially short supply.
